Join ACO London and the London & Middlesex Historical Society for a scenic guided day trip to the historic areas of Baden, New Hamburg, and Shakespeare!
Lunch will be at the Scran and Dram Scottish Public House followed by a walking tour of downtown New Hamburg's Heritage Conservation District where 75% of the buildings are heritage-designated.
Later in the afternoon we'll enjoy a brief stop at the delightfully named hamlet of Punkeydoodles Corners followed by a tour of historic Fryfogel's Tavern, built c1844 by Perth County's first European settler Sebastian Fryfogel as a stagecoach stop and inn on the old Huron Road(now Highway 8).
Tickets are $60 and include highway coach transportation, admission to all sites, and lunch at the Scran and Dram.
Bus departs from the parking lot behind London's Old Courthouse (enter at 50 King Street) at 8:15am with a second pickup at the LTC bus stop at 110 Cherryhill Circle (near Cherryhill Mall) at 8:30am. Please select your preferred pick-up location when registering for tickets.
Tour runs rain or shine. Deadline to purchase is Sept. 28. There will be a waiting list if tickets sell out.
