2021 London Heritage Awards
The Architectural Conservancy Ontario - London Region (ACO London) and Heritage London Foundation (HLF) are proud to announce the 2021 London Heritage Awards Honourees.
This year marks the 14th annual awards program. With COVID-19 pandemic playing havoc with gathering this year, hosting a gala event as in past years was not possible. As such this year’s award honourees were recognized at their locations, with representatives from ACO London and HLF.
This year’s honourees are:
Small-Scale Restoration Project - Vicky Lightfoot, 25 Empress Ave
Adaptive Re-use Project - Youth Opportunities Unlimited for 340 Richmond Street
The London Heritage Awards are given out each year by ACO London and HLF in recognition of outstanding leadership excellence in heritage conservation across the London region as nominated by members of the community. Notable past recipients include Wes Kinghorn, Ann and David Lindsay and Vintage London, structures such as the London Normal School, The Unity Project, London Roundhouse and the Clock Tower Inn in Strathroy, as well as many private homes throughout the London region.
Congratulations to all honourees and thank you so much for your tremendous work to keep London’s roots alive and on display. Preserving our heritage is not always an easy task, but it is always worthwhile.
